FAQ Section

What is the main advantage of PFS over PAC?

Polyferric Sulfate excels in removing color and heavy metals (like COD, BOD). It has a higher density floc that settles faster. Additionally, PFS is superior in removing Phosphorus, making it ideal for meeting strict TP (Total Phosphorus) discharge standards.

Is Polyferric Sulfate corrosive to equipment?

Being an iron-based salt, liquid PFS is mildly corrosive. storage tanks and pipelines should be made of corrosion-resistant materials like PVC, PE, or Fiberglass (FRP). Stainless steel usage requires specific grade verification.

Does PFS affect the pH of the water significantly?

PFS consumes less alkalinity than traditional Ferric Chloride, meaning the pH drop is less drastic. However, for acidic wastewaters, a pH adjuster may still be required to keep the system in the optimal range (pH 6-9).
